The Andover YMCA is inviting the community to participate in a free open house from noon-5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10.
Even those without YMCA memberships can enjoy swimming, playing basketball, trying a new group exercise class, climbing on a climbing wall and other activities.
The event is to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Greater Wichita YMCA. All its branches are participating.
Children aged 10 or younger must be accompanied by an adult. All participants are eligible to win special commemorative prizes.
"The YMCA would not exist if it weren’t for the generous support of our community," Greater Wichita YMCA General Executive Dennis Schoenebeck said in a release. "As the oldest non-profit in Wichita, 125 years is a major milestone and it wouldn't be a true celebration if everyone wasn't invited."
The Andover YMCA is at 1115 E. US Highway 54 in Andover and its phone number is (316) 733-9622.
